Connecting to Apple Watch
Check this video on how to adjust your Apple Watch settings for a great Wristcam experience
Not right now. There is no option to install the Wristcam app only on the Apple Watch (regardless of cellular or without); the family connection is not enough.
To use Wristcam, you need to have installed watchOS 7 and greater. Please note, according to Apple Website, any Apple Watch Series 3 or later is compatible with watchOS 7.
Unfortunately Apple Watch Series 1 or 2 is not compatible with watch OS7, therefore you will not be able to use it with Wristcam as you will not be able to use key features like the watch Preview, video calling and video messaging.
Please note the Apple Watch Series 3 and lower uses Bluetooth 4.2. We have upgraded the Wristcam to support Bluetooth 5. What does that mean? A slower connection. Therefore for the Apple Watch Series 3 and lower, you may expect a slower response time from the app from connecting the device to preview.

Wristcam has 8GB onboard memory and its own battery. The device continues working even when your Apple Watch is off or in power reserve mode. A quick tap on the Wristcam quick capture button will take a photo, and a long-press will start recording with a quick tap after to stop recording. These photos & videos will sync to iPhone via Bluetooth once your Apple Watch is on again.
Wristcam uses Bluetooth to connect with your Apple Watch.
You can expect to easily and quickly capture photos and videos from your Apple Watch, stream live videos, and chat from your wrist, without having to take out your phone. We will continue to add features and functionality on an ongoing basis.
You can share photos and videos to Twitter, Facebook, Facebook Live, and YouTube, straight from your Apple Watch. Your photos and videos captured with Wristcam are synced to your iPhone and can be shared to your favorite apps.
Yes, we will provide ongoing updates to the Wristcam App.
